He said, “My son was invited by the suspected killers to the house of Dr. Okpala in Umuru village, and on arrival he was immediately attacked with machetes, blocks and clubs resulting in his instant death.

“This incident happened on the eve of Easter and they dumped the corpse in the gate of our compound and left.

“We reported the matter to Nnobi police Division and five people, including Dr. Okpala, in whose compound the murder was committed were arrested.

Okpala released on health ground

“Okpala was released on health ground as I was told but that does not mean he has been set free.

“The suspects and the case file have been transferred to State CID by the DPO of Nnobi police Division.

“We are happy about that because the killers’ relations called for settlement and the DPO gave some days for such but the meeting ended in fiasco and the DPO took the matter to Awka for discrete investigation.

“We need justice in this matter. I am blind and my legs were amputated on health ground.

“That I’m still alive is because of this my son they killed just like that, without doing them anything.
