Director-General of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Abuja, Mallam Isa Lanre Onuli has approved the appointment of Barr Ifeoma Chijioke as substantive Director of the Agency in Anambra State, following her recent promotion to grade level 17.
Chijioke, who received her letter of promotion at the the state headquarters of the Agency located at the Federal Secretariat Complex in Awka, pledged to break the chains holding the Agency back over the years like the biblical Esther.
She urged management and staff to place attendance to duty above other things, assuring them that with their cooperation, her leadership would overcome lingering challenges facing the Agency in the state.
Underscoring the place of teamwork in taking the Agency to greater level, the NOA boss warned against what she termed ‘scattered loyalty’, urging staff to put their loyalties together.
She described her promotion as a thing of joy, just as she praised the DG’s unwavering foresight, which she noted had opened more doors for promotion, protection and welfare of the staff.
“To whom much is given much is expected. I don’t believe in scattered loyalty; let us put our loyalties together. There must be canes, but not to harm any staff. The canes are for correction, and not to harm.
Support of heaven and earth
“I have no doubt that the heaven and earth are with me as I embark on the onerous task ahead,” she added.
Chijioke further pledged to partner with the Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led government which she commended for its numerous achievements without borrowing a dime.
While offering special prayers for the Director, Ordinand ThankGod Obidiegwu of St. Paul’s Anglican Seminary, Awka pleaded with the Director not to use her new office to intimidate the staff, but to lead them as the mother of all and people of same family.
He emphasized that promotions come from God, praying for divine wisdom as she assumed her new office.
