A Youth group of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says it will mobilize over 5000 youths for the reelection of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

The APC Youth League also assured willingness to campaign for the victory of the party’s governorship candidate in Anambra state, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu in the November 8 poll.

At the inauguration of the group in Anambra state, its National President, Comrade Olamide Lawal expressed confidence that the party will wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)

He said, “Our responsibility is to energize young people in Anambra and to strengthen the party at the grassroots with the support of the party leadership.

“Our focus is to ensure APC is brought to power in Anambra on November 8.

“We’ll come back in January to show massive support for President Tinubu by replicating what we experienced in Abuja in June 12 during loyalty work.”

Transformational governance

Olamide highlighted the numerous benefits of the Tinubu’s administration, especially to the youths, which he said informed the group’s decision to endorse its continuity.

“There’s no gain without pain. Yes, there was little pain when the government first came into power.

“But as a government with foresight, it embarked on various transformation and reforms.

“If not for the aggressive reforms, the nation would have gone bankrupt and would have rendered the youths hopeless.

“Mr President has brought hope to us through tax reforms, students loan, massive infrastructural and investment drive.

“A government that creates enabling environment for the youth to thrive should be supported.

“With APC government, young people future is guaranteed and more energy and massive positive transformation is achievable.

Describing Anambra as heartbeat of Igboland, Olamide stressed that the party could not afford to allow the state be outside government at the center.

Maximum support assured

APC State chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike commended the commitment of the group in its mobilization drive, assuring them of maximum support.

Ejidike, represented by Assistant Secretary, Engr Sam Oraegbunam said, “We believe the group will help us mobilize so that we’ll capture Anambra come November 8.”

Awka South Chairman of the party, Engr Frank Ndibe assured greater support to Tinubu beyond what he got from the state in 2023.

“November 8 is the date of conquering. We implore APC govs and the youth group to assist us achieve the overwhelming victory we’ve dreamt of since 2013.

“Up till date, we’ve been in the hands of minor party with no relevance in the nation’s political developments.

“When we win, the support to Tinubu will be easy and seamless. We voted him when he wasn’t president.

“Now, we’ll massively vote him. It’ll be easier and possible when we win the governorship election,” he stated.

Earlier, State Coordinator of the youth group, Mr Chigozie Ikechukwu disclosed that the inauguration was targeted at projecting the party at the grassroots and ensuring Tinubu’s and Ukachukwu’s victory.

“We’re asking for the party support because we have the capacity to deliver based on our solid structures at the grassroots,” he said.
