Dr Chibueze Ofobuike has declared his intention to contest the Aguata Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Ofobuike’s declaration has drawn commendation across communities in Aguata, with supporters describing it as a call for renewed leadership focused on progress, unity and people-oriented representation.
The Chairman of APGA, Umuchu Ward II, Mr NzubeChukwu Ogbuefi, described the aspirant as a committed party member who embodies the ideals of equity, grassroots development and inclusive governance.
Similarly, the President General of Umuchu, Mr Ifeanyi Emegwa, endorsed Ofobuike’s aspiration, describing him as a notable figure with capacity to represent the constituency effectively.
Speaking during the declaration, Ofobuike pledged to deliver impactful programmes that would improve the welfare of his constituents if elected.

He said his focus would include initiatives in education, youth empowerment and community development to drive sustainable growth in the constituency.
“To the glory of God, our journey to the Federal House of Representatives has started.
In the presence of the leadership of my Party, APGA, I declared my interest to represent Aguata Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
“The vision is clear, the passion is overwhelming. I thank everyone for the encouragement, love and support.
“We will do this job differently. We will once again prove the capacity of young people.
Stakeholders noted that Ofobuike had, over the years, been involved in educational support, youth-focused initiatives and grassroots advocacy.

The declaration has generated interest among political stakeholders, youth groups and community leaders, many of whom expressed support for what they described as a movement aimed at advancing development in Aguata Federal Constituency.
