Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Aspirant for Awka South Constituency II, House of Assembly, Evangelist Chinedu Obue has raised the alarm over alleged conspiracies targeted at sabotaging his victory at the party primary last weekend by unidentified individuals supporting his opponent he claimed lost in the poll.

He appealed to the party’s Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, National Chairman, Sen. Cleopas Zuwoghe and founder, Senator Henry Dickson and other leaders at all levels to intervene and keep his mandate.

He also pleaded with lovers of democracy in the party to ensure nothing happened to the mandate given to him by his people in election he described as free, fair and transparent and observed by officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Department of State Security Services (DSS).

According to Obue, he pulled 625 votes to beat his opponent Sam Chuks Ọkpanduka who got 73 votes as reflected in the result.

He said the Election Committee Chairman for Awka South LGA, Prof. Paul Okolie duly signed the results with video evidence.

A petition has been written to the appeal panel of NDC at Abuja, calling for intervention.
