Chelsea FC have sacked their head coach, Liam Rosenior, with immediate effect after just four months in charge following a string of poor results.
The club announced the decision on Wednesday after the team suffered five consecutive defeats without scoring a single goal.
Rosenior, who was appointed earlier in the season, endured a difficult spell as Chelsea struggled to find form, raising concerns among fans and management over the club’s performance.
A statement from the club said the decision was taken in the best interest of the team, adding that efforts were ongoing to appoint a replacement.
Chelsea are currently battling to improve their position on the league table after a disappointing run of results.
The club thanked Rosenior for his service and wished him well in his future endeavours.
