The Wike-aligned faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released its timetable for the 2027 general election primaries, setting May 17–18 for the presidential primary and May 27 for governorship contests.
According to the schedule issued by the faction’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, House of Representatives primaries will hold on May 21, Senate on May 23, and State House of Assembly on May 25.
The faction also announced steep nomination costs, pegging the presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination Form at ₦51 million.
Governorship forms are priced at ₦21 million, Senate at ₦6 million, House of Representatives at ₦4 million, and State Assembly at ₦3 million.
Female aspirants, however, are required to pay only the ₦1 million Expression of Interest fee across all positions.
Forms will sell from April 27 and end on May 4 while screening for State and National Assembly aspirants will take place on May 11.
Governorship and presidential hopefuls will be screened on May 12.
