Odili canvases abolition of harmful traditional practices against women

Frontline candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Primus Odili has described Mothers as the cornerstone of families, calling for women empowerment and abolition of all harmful practices against women.

Reacting to Mothering Sunday celebrated by Catholic Church globally yesterday, Odili described mothers as critical to the survivability of every nation.

In his message to Ndi Nne Anambra North, the Senate Hopeful stressed that without mothers, the society would be without direction.

‎The APGA Anambra North frontline Senatorial aspirant called on mothers to emulate the virtues of “Holy Mother Mary”, whose humility despite being the mother of the Son of God, brought herself to the lowest ebb to earn her position.

He praised his wife for her humility, doggedness and steadfastness in building a happy home.

Odili noted that for society to progress, mothers must be given their pride of place in the society.

‎He advised fathers to always support their wives to entrench a morally sound society, devoid of moral decadence and criminality.

This he noted will also enable economic growth in the country.which women are the enablers for an egalitarian society.
