Vote for me same way you did in 2010, 2021 – Soludo tells Okadigbo’s community

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has expressed optimism in the overwhelming support he would receive from people of Oyi local government area in the November 8 gubernatorial election.

Oyi local government area is the community of the former Senate President, Chuba Okadigbo.

Addressing the crowd at the Nteje local government headquarters, Soludo said the expectation stemmed from the support he received from the community in both 2010 and 2021 elections.

He described the visit as a homecoming for him, promising not to take the people’s support for granted.

“Oyi has been a stronghold for me. In 2010, Oyi voted for me; the same in 2021. This is a homecoming for me. I appreciate all your support and will not take it for granted,” he said.

Chairman of the local government, Hon. Emma Nweke highlighted significant turnout the community is expected to produce at the poll.

Resounding statement

“Oyi will make a resounding statement at the forthcoming governorship election. We are committed to returning the Governor for a second term of four years,” he said.

At Otuocha Township Stadium, Aguleri, Anambra East Local government, Soludo described the campaign as a “divine project and mass movement.”

He appreciated Anambra East for their active involvement in organizing and funding the event.

Governor Soludo said the grassroots support that has fueled his political journey.

He said it is unprecedented for communities and people to take over the campaign donating money to fund the campaign.

Soludo urged the people to make their voices heard by coming out and vote on November 8.

The Governor further underscored the importance of transparency in the electoral process.

“We expect you to speak again in your polling units. On November 8, the votes will be cast; they should be counted and announced,” he added.

Highlighting his confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Governor stated, “I am hopeful that Anambra will be a model election for INEC.”

Chairman, Anambra East Local Government Area, Mr. Ifeanyi Nweze, remarked, “Governor Soludo’s commitment to our community is evident in every initiative he undertakes. His proactive stance has made a tangible difference in our lives.”

While Oyi made a presentation of a cheque of N80million, Anambra East donated N50million to support the Governor’s campaign.
