Breaking: Ganduje resigns as APC National Chairman

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano State, advanced his health as his reason for his decision.

He said he needed to focus on his well-being.

There are however speculations that his resignation might be linked to allegations of financial misappropriation.

Many commentators are also of the view that his resignation may also be unconnected with the 2027 general election.

Ganduje’s tenure has been marked by controversy from the time he was elected as the National Chairman in August 2023.

There are also speculations about rising political tension within the party which might have triggered his resignation.

Days ahead will be eventful as APC seeks to replace Ganduje.
