Organized Labour has honored Governor Soludo with the “Workers’ Beacon of Hope” award.
Soludo received the award during the 2025 Workers’ Day celebration held in the transformed Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.
The award was presented to the governor in recognition of his exceptional empathy, dedication, and unwavering support for workers in the state.
The workers expressed sincere appreciation for Soludo’s prompt and thorough implementation of the 2024 approved minimum wage.
While the national benchmark was set at ₦70,000, Soludo generously approved ₦82,000—the highest in the Southeast.
According to the workers, the governor implemented it seamlessly across all sectors without any industrial unrest.
Additionally, they commended Soludo for his visionary leadership and significant efforts to transform Anambra into a hub of economic and infrastructural excellence.
