I’ll break poverty cycle, rebuild Nigeria through bold reforms – Tinubu vows

Renewed Hope Ambassadors

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a stable, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria, declaring that the welfare of citizens remains at the heart of his government’s agenda.

He was speaking on Thursday at the State House in Abuja while receiving a delegation of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The President said his administration is overhauling entrenched political and economic structures that had slowed national progress.

This is with a bid to unlock opportunities for all Nigerians.

He emphasised the importance of citizen participation in governance, noting that a more inclusive system would create a stronger society for future generations.

Tinubu called on members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to deepen grassroots mobilisation and intensify public awareness campaigns on government programmes aimed at improving livelihoods through ongoing economic reforms.

“You represent the conscience of a nation determined to break free from poverty and despair,” the President said.

Reiterating his commitment to democratic values, Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration would continue to uphold the rule of law, separation of powers and respect for citizens’ rights.

“We must respect lawful court orders and uphold the integrity of the judiciary, whether its decisions favour us or not,” he stated.

The President stressed that national progress depends on unity, a shared vision and collective resolve.

He added that his government remains focused on inclusive growth, youth empowerment and ensuring that every Nigerian has a stake in the country’s future.

Tinubu also urged citizens to disregard misinformation from opposition elements, maintaining that the country remains on the right path under his leadership.

Addressing the delegation, Tinubu pledged continued support for their mission and reaffirmed his resolve to see through the transformation of Nigeria.

Earlier, Governor Uzodimma said the group’s visit was to brief the President on progress made in nationwide mobilisation efforts.

He disclosed that structures had been established across regions, local governments, wards and polling units, with outreach programmes ongoing in markets, schools, professional bodies, women’s groups and faith-based organisations.
