The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has extended Easter greetings to Christians in the state and across Nigeria, calling on them to embrace selfless love, sacrifice, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor emphasized that Easter goes beyond celebration and should serve as a time for deep reflection.
He urged Christians to renew their commitment to values that promote unity and peaceful coexistence within society.
Soludo noted that the season places a moral responsibility on believers to prioritize others, let go of grievances, and promote reconciliation within families, communities, and the nation.
He added that the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ underscore the importance of compassion, tolerance, and shared responsibility in building a just and harmonious society.
The governor concluded by wishing Christians a joyful Easter, while praying for renewed hope, lasting peace, and greater unity across the country.
