Christians have been urged to reflect deeply on the enduring message of love, sacrifice, and hope symbolised by the Easter celebration.

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, gave this admonition in his Easter message to Christians across the state.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Governor described Easter as a powerful reminder of the triumph of life over death and light over darkness.

He noted that the essence of the season lies in selflessness and faith in a better future.

Governor Adeleke highlighted the spiritual significance of Easter, stressing that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ calls for a renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence and service to humanity.

He reassured Christians in Osun State of his administration’s dedication to fairness, inclusiveness, and the protection of religious freedom.

The governor emphasized that his government remains committed to building a society where people of all faiths can live and thrive without fear or discrimination.

Adeleke further encouraged Christians to embody the virtues of humility, forgiveness, and love exemplified during the Easter season, noting that these values are vital for strengthening unity and fostering collective progress in the state.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to people-centered governance, Adeleke pledged continued efforts to improve key sectors that impact citizens’ daily lives.

He also called on the faithful to use the Easter period to pray for Osun State, Nigeria, and leaders at all levels, while encouraging acts of kindness, especially toward the vulnerable and less privileged in society.
