I no longer parade myself as Awka monarch – Ndigwe

Chief Austin Ndigwe

Chief Austin Ndigwe has formally denied claims that he is still presenting himself as the “Eze Uzu III” of Awka, distancing himself from reports circulating on social media.

In a letter personally signed and submitted to the Governor of Anambra State and the state’s Attorney General, Ndigwe described the reports as the handiwork of mischief makers.

He insisted he neither authorized nor endorsed such publications.

Ndigwe warned that the false claims were made in bad faith and appeared aimed at implicating him in the lingering Awka kingship dispute.

Reaffirming his stance, Ndigwe expressed full respect for the government’s White Paper arising from the Commission of Inquiry into the matter.

He also reiterated his commitment to peace, unity, and stability in the Awka community.

He pledged not to take actions that could disrupt harmony in the ancient kingdom.
