Why I’m eyeing Anambra Central senatorial seat – Nwankwo

Anambra Central senatorial hopeful of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dozie Nwankwo has declared his intention to represent the zone at the red chamber of the National Assembly.

The former House of Representatives member was warmly received by State Chairman of APGA, Barr Ifatu Obiokoye, his team of executive council, as well as supporters who stormed the APGA office as early as 12noon.

Addressing newsmen shortly after meeting with party Executive, Nwankwo said he visited the Party House for consultations about his aspiration.

“We are party in power, our party is grassroot oriented and that’s why I have come to inform and consult with the party’s leadership about my intension to represent Anambra Central at the Senate. I am a former member of House of Representatives.

“It’s a contest and I am in the race for the good and betterment of Anambra Central, whatever step we want to take must begin from here,” he said.

While pledging quality representation to his constituents at the red chambers, the senatorial hopeful asserted that he would key into Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s programmes, who he described as a Working Governor.

“I will support Gov Soludo with legislation from Abuja, in the area of fighting insecurity with technology, youths empowerment, and policies that will make us live in peace as a nation especially in Anambra Central will also be part of my legislative agenda,” he added.
