Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has charged the newly inaugurated executive members of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN), Anambra State, to champion peace, uphold moral values and promote healthy living across the state.
Soludo gave the charge in a message delivered on her behalf by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Oluchi Ibezim, during the inauguration ceremony.
She urged the new leadership to see their positions as a call to service and an opportunity to influence positive change in families and communities.

According to her, the role of WOWICAN remains critical in fostering unity, strengthening moral standards and encouraging healthier lifestyles among women and the larger society.
She emphasised that women, particularly mothers, occupy strategic positions in shaping values at the grassroots and should leverage such influence to build more peaceful and responsible communities.
Soludo congratulated the executive members on their emergence and expressed confidence in their capacity to deliver on their mandate.
She further encouraged them to lead by example and remain committed to initiatives that promote social harmony and wellbeing.

In her remarks, Dr Elsie Nonyelum Nwokolo, Chairperson, WOWICAN Anambra state, appreciated God for the grace to serve and for the privilege.
She thanked everyone for supporting WOWICAN and prayed for unity and oneness as they continue to work in God’s vineyard.
