Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has decorated 216 operatives of the command who benefited from the 2025 promotion exercise with their new ranks.

Speaking during the decoration ceremony on Wednesday, Commandant Maku Olatunde said the promotion is in recognition of the officers’ dedication and contributions to the Corps.

The commandant praised the officers for their courage and resilience in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure across the country.

Maku urged them to uphold high ethical standards, lead by example, and mentor junior personnel.

He stressed the importance of greater accountability and leadership as they assume their new responsibilities, expressing confidence that the officers’ renewed zeal and enhanced capacity would enable the Corps’ continued significant strides in the discharge of its mandates.

Interior Minister appreciated

Expressing gratitude to Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his exceptional leadership and steadfast support to the Corps, the NSCDC boss said his initiatives have greatly enhanced the overall welfare, morale and officers’ capabilities across the country.

He also appreciated the Commandant-General of the Corps, Prof. Ahmed Audi for championing a merit-based approach to promotions, investing in advanced training, and cultivating a strong culture of professionalism within the NSCDC.
