President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Chief Okey Ezenwa as the Renewed Hope Ambassador for Anambra State ahead of the 2027 presidential election mobilization efforts.
Chief Ezenwa, a notable leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra, was named among the 36 state and FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors inaugurated in Abuja on Monday, December 1, 2025, as part of the mobilisation structure for the President’s re-election agenda.
The inauguration was conducted by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
The Governor had earlier been appointed as National Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors by President Tinubu on November 25.
Uzodimma charged ambassadors to immediately return to their states and intensify grassroots mobilisation for the 2027 polls.
Speaking in Awka on Thursday, Chief Ezenwa expressed profound appreciation to President Tinubu for entrusting him with the responsibility, describing it as a significant political honour.
Ezenwa said the President has demonstrated capacity, pedigree, and commitment to national development, adding that the South East and Anambra people in particular have strong reasons to support his return.
According to him, Tinubu’s administration has shown goodwill to the region through the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC).
He noted that the commission is driving economic transformation and regional integration.
Ezenwa while commending ongoing rehabilitation and reconstruction of major federal roads across the South East, saying such efforts reflect fairness, equity, and a detribalized leadership approach.

“The President is a progressive — bold, visionary, and unafraid to take tough decisions for long-term benefits. You can’t fault that,” he said.
Ezenwa further praised Tinubu’s approach to economic recovery and national security, insisting that ongoing reforms are already influencing stability in markets and improving food affordability. He urged Nigerians, especially the people of the South East, to rally behind the President for the continuation of strategic national programmes.
He also applauded the choice of Governor Uzodimma as National Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, describing him as an achiever with a track record of impactful governance.
“I’m delighted to work under Governor Uzodimma — a visionary, result-driven leader whose transformative efforts are visible across Imo State. Just go to Imo and see the state rising,” he said.
