The founder of Master Energy Group and former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Samson Ogah, has donated ₦10 million to Clifford University, Ihie, Abia State, while also unveiling a major employment commitment for its students.

Speaking during the university’s Eminent Personality Lecture Series on Wednesday, Dr. Ogah announced that all Accounting graduates of the institution will receive automatic employment in his business establishments upon completion of their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The declaration was met with loud applause from the packed auditorium, with many describing it as a rare and life-changing gesture.

Calling his intervention an investment in Nigeria’s future, Dr. Ogah stressed that education remains the bedrock of national development. He urged private-sector leaders to support universities not only with funds but also by creating clear pathways that link academic training to real job opportunities.

Clifford University authorities described the donation and job guarantee as a “transformative milestone” that aligns with the institution’s vision of producing highly skilled and employable graduates.

Students and participants said the event felt like a defining moment—one that demonstrated how purposeful philanthropy, strategic partnerships, and faith-based education can converge to provide hope and genuine opportunities for young people.

With this pledge, Dr. Ogah reinforces his image as a visionary philanthropist and nation-builder, offering a practical model of how the private sector can contribute to reducing youth unemployment through strategic investments in education and skills development.

As Clifford University enters a new phase of opportunity for its Accounting graduates, observers say the initiative could inspire similar models across Nigerian institutions, turning academic lectures into real pathways for stable careers.
