FRSC in Anambra gets 16th Sector Commander

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command has welcome a new Sector Commander, Commander Bridget Asekhauno.

Asekhauno assumed the position as the 16th substantive Sector Commander following her deployment by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed.

According to a statement by Sector Public Education Officer, Margaret Onabe, the new Sector Commander took over from her predecessor, CC Joyce Nnennaya Alexander, who has been transferred to Delta State as the Sector Commander.

“Asekhauno, who hails from Fugar in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State, holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Jos, a Master’s degree in Transport Management from Ladoke Akintola University in Ogbomoso, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers Institute (NTI).

“Additionally, she has earned several certificates, including National Productivity Center Certificate; Road Safety Star Award (RSS) for Outstanding Service; Citizenship and Leadership Training Certificates; Strategic Course in Command Responsibility (SCCR) from the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), among others.

“Before joining the Corps, she completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the National Petroleum Investment and Management Services (NAPIMS), a subsidiary of the NNPC.

Service all over

“Throughout her career in the FRSC, CC Asekhauno has served in several cities and states, including Osun, Badagry, Apapa, Lagos Island, Surulere, Kwara, Ogun, Rivers, Abia, Enugu, and Abuja.

“She has held various positions, including: Operations Officer in Osun; Accountant for Badagry and Lagos Island Unit Commands; Head of Special Marshals, Lagos; Public Education Officer in Kwara; DCC Admin and HR in Ogun; DCC Operations in Rivers.

“DCC National Road Safety Advisory Council (NaRSAC); DCC MVA at RS7HQ; DCC Welfare at FRSC HQ Abuja; Acting Sector Commander in Ogun, Rivers, and Abia State Sector Commands; CC AHR Enugu Zonal Command.

The statement says prior to her appointment as Sector Commander Anambra, she was the CC Special Marshals at RSHQ Abuja

“Throughout her service, CC Asekhauno has received multiple Service Merit Awards and commendation letters from various commanding officers within the Corps.

She was also a board member of the Kwara State Traffic Management Agency (KWATMA) and has participated in numerous seminars, workshops, and conferences, contributing to community projects at both local and state levels.

Dedication to duty

She is known for her dedication, commitment, and drive for excellence. CC Asekhauno is happily married and blessed with children.

“Asekhauno was enlisted in the Federal Road Safety Corps in 1996 as an Assistant Route Commander (ARC) and has advanced through the ranks, culminating in her promotion to Corps Commander.

“She is renowned for her exemplary leadership and operational capability, especially in demanding circumstances.

CC Asekhauno has built an outstanding reputation for her ability to apply critical expertise in challenging environments. She is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of lives and properties on the roads.

“As the new Sector Commander, she assures the people of Anambra that under her watch, the Command will remain committed to addressing all forms of road traffic issues to enhance public safety in the state.

“She also appeals for cooperation and support from the public to help reduce road traffic crashes in the area.”
