The Association of Non-Indigenes in Anambra State (ANIAS) has urged its members to be law-abiding and peaceful ahead of the August 16, 2025 by-election in Anambra South Senatorial district.
ANIAS President, Prince Chigozie Nweke made the appealed while addressing journalists in Awka.
He emphasized the importance of exercising their voting rights responsibly and encouraged members to vote for their preferred candidates without engaging in violence or actions that could disrupt the polity.
According to him, this call to action aims to ensure a smooth and successful electoral process noting that the association has been actively involved in promoting peace and stability in the state.
It has also been working closely with the government to enhance security and combat criminal elements.
Nweke further urged members to shun election malpractices ensuring the integrity of the election process.
