The All Progressives Congress(APC) primary elections in Anambra are shaping up to be a highly competitive ahead of the Nov. 8 gubernatorial elections.

With high-profile candidates vying for the party’s ticket, the race is gradually becoming a clear contest between the strongest contenders.

Sources suggest that Prince Nicolas Ukachukwu is currently leading over other aspirants such as Mr. Val Ozigbo, Mr. Obiora Okonkwo, and Mr. John Bosco Onunkwo

At the Beautiful Gate Hotel, delegates from Anambra South and Anambra Central await accreditation by the party’s National Election Committee.

Upon arrival, Core Truth correspondent noted security personnel and party officials facilitating delegate identification and ensuring orderly entry.

The peaceful, orderly process surprised non-partisan observers and journalists, who had expected some disorder due to the high-profile candidates.

In an interview, Hon. Innocent Orizu, Chairman of APC Nnewi North Local Government Area, praised the calm demeanor of the delegates.

He dismissed rumors of violence at the accreditation venue as false, blaming them on malicious attempts by opponents to incite unrest.

‘We’ve been here since morning, and the accreditation has gone smoothly. Everyone is calm; if there were a crisis, we wouldn’t be sitting here comfortably,” he said.

However, most delegates appeared focused and resolute, resisting any efforts to engage in violence or disruptive actions.
