Prioritize workers’ welfare, rights and safety – ACSONet urges employers

The Anambra Civil Society Network (ACSONet), has urged government, private sector employers, and civil society to continue to prioritize the welfare, rights, and safety of workers.

In a May Day message, the organization insisted that a prosperous society must be built on fairness, dignity, and opportunity for all who labor.

Its chairman, Prince Chris Azor, reaffirmed commitment to advocating for improved working conditions, inclusive policies, and respect for labor rights across board.

“As the world marks International Workers’ Day, we extend our heartfelt greetings and solidarity to all workers across Nigeria, particularly in Anambra State.

“This day is a reminder of the immense contributions of workers to the growth, stability, and development of our society”.

“From the bustling markets to the public service, from health care professionals to educators, artisans, farmers, and industrial laborers, your unwavering commitment keeps our economy and communities functioning”.

He saluted the resilience and innovation of workers in Anambra State, especially in the face of economic and social challenges.

“Your efforts continue to inspire the drive toward sustainable development, equity, and justice,” Prince Azor noted.
