Meta Platforms Inc. has announced major updates to its Meta AI assistant, introducing enhanced personalisation features and a new “Discover” feed.
The enhanced feature was to encourage social engagement around AI.
In a statement, the company said the AI assistant can now better understand user preferences—such as interests in travel or language learning.
It would be achieved by drawing on contextual information from interactions across Meta’s platforms.
“Meta AI will use information provided by users.
“Including profile details and content engagement on Meta apps, to deliver more relevant and personalized responses.”
Users who connect their Facebook and Instagram accounts through the Accounts Center will receive a more seamless and tailored AI experience.
The newly launched ‘Discover’ feed allows users to explore trending prompts, share creative uses of AI, and customize ideas for personal use while maintaining control over what they choose to share.
Content will not appear on a user’s personal feed unless they specifically opt in.
Meta said these updates reflect its broader goal of building AI tools that are not only smart, but also socially integrated and aligned with individual user experiences..
