The lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, has appealed to Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, for forgiveness over any perceived wrongdoing during his time in office.
Elliot made the appeal while reacting to reports that he had been rejected by the Surulere Accountability Forum (SAF).
He dismissed the claims as mere political propaganda. He stated that he was unfamiliar with the group.
Elliot insisted that his recent engagement was solely to declare his intentions before a Community Development Association (CDA).
Defending his bid for a fourth term, Elliot argued that legislative experience directly benefits constituents.
“Three terms is great. But guess what? Another term is fantastic.
“You can see the developmental strides we are making in the legislature. The longer you stay, the better you become.
