A middle-aged man has been reportedly taken into police custody in Awka, Anambra State, following a domestic dispute that led to the death of his child.
The incident reportedly occurred around the Kwata Slaughter area of Awka.
Eyewitnesses said the man was chasing his wife with a machete during a domestic dispute when the situation turned tragic.
According to accounts from people at the scene, the woman, who was carrying their child at the time, fell while trying to escape.
The child reportedly died as a result of the fall.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra State, Tochukwu Ikenga could not confirm this incident immediately.
