Anambra State Ambassador of the Renewed Hope Agenda, Chief Okey Ezenwa, has said that meaningful grassroots engagement remains critical to the successful implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies and programmes across the country.
Ezenwa stated this on Wednesday while addressing members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Anambra State.
He stressed that policy communication must move beyond elite circles to direct, household-level interaction with citizens.
“This is a call to action. Our task is to engage directly with members of every household in Anambra and advance the policies, achievements and objectives of Mr President in a way that people can clearly understand and relate to their daily lives.”
He described the Renewed Hope Ambassadors as a strategic platform for constructive engagement, communicating government policies effectively, while celebrating measurable progress and explain the President’s long-term development plans for Nigeria.
According to him, the organisation’s work is guided by integrity, transparency, accountability and humility.
President Tinubu commended
Ezenwa commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as visionary and principled leadership, thanking him for the confidence placed in the Renewed Hope Ambassadors nationwide.
He also praised the Director General of the organisation, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, for providing steady leadership and direction.
Highlighting the importance of grassroots leadership, Ezenwa described zonal and local government coordinators as the vital link between state leadership and communities.

The Anambra State Ambassador of the Renewed Hope Agenda said their responsibility includes coordinating activities within their areas, evaluating reports from the grassroots and measuring the real-life impact of programmes.
“You must be able to clarify policy intentions and show how they translate into improved living standards for the people.
“Leadership at this level must be principled, open to dialogue and driven by tangible results.”
He further charged local government coordinators to serve as on-the-ground ambassadors within towns, wards and communities as their role goes beyond advocacy to listening and responding to local concerns.
Culturally sensitive engagement
According to him, effective engagement must be inclusive, culturally sensitive and focused on practical solutions.
Ezenwa urged coordinators to communicate policies and achievements in clear, accessible language, provide platforms for feedback and transparently highlight verifiable accomplishments and upcoming milestones.
He also advised them to align national priorities with local needs such as security, economic growth, healthcare, education and social welfare.
Describing the Renewed Hope Agenda as a practical roadmap for national development, Ezenwa said communities must be clearly shown what has been achieved, what remains and how they can actively participate in the process.

He encouraged regular town hall meetings involving civil society, faith-based organisations and the private sector to deepen public trust.
Ezenwa expressed optimism that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Anambra would drive purposeful service, informed advocacy and stronger public understanding of the President’s development agenda, thereby strengthening confidence in Nigeria’s democratic process.
Allegiance and cooperation
Some of the zonal and LG coordinators who spoke on the occasion pledged to give their all to the task ahead.
Senator Emma Anosike, Coordinator for Anambra North Senatorial District charged fellow coordinators to hit the ground running.
“You won’t stay inside to do this work. You must come out and be fearless. If you won’t be able to do, kindly inform the state coordinator. I am an operational person and we must all buckle up.
“We need everyone to support and we all must queue behind our state coordinator. Let’s hit the ground running and whatever we are expecting will come.
Representative of Anambra South Zone, appreciated the appointment which he described as an honor to be part of the team that will deliver Mr President.
“It is not an easy task but I believe that we are all capable. Let’s see it as a sacrifice. I am not saying that there are no benefits. Publicise his policies. Food stuffs are now so cheap in the market because of the policies of government.
Anaocha LG Coordinator Mr Sylvester Okeke, pledged to make the state coordinator proud. “We heard you very well and we shall not disappoint you.”
