President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the management and staff of the Federal Cooperative College Oji River Enugu State for the massive transformations in the institution.
The President remarked that the pragmatic leadership of the Provost of the college Dr. Jude Ejikeme Obidiegwu, has made the achievements possible.
Tinubu who gave the commendation during a working visit to the school, expressed satisfaction with the composition and quality of the academic and non-academic staff.
Represented by the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Dr. Aliyu Abdullahi, the President also commended the serenity of the college environment.
“This environment is very conducive for learning and academic activities. The infrastructures you have here are impressive but you still need more amenities.
“I am sure your college will get more amenities as this administration carry out reforms in the cooperative sector”.
The President expressed satisfaction with the crop of staff who are transforming the vision in the cooperative sector into reality.

He suggested that cooperative education should be embedded in all subject disciplines at college to meet the cooperative reform agenda of his administration.
Other remarks
The Provost, Federal College of Land Resources Owerri, Imo State Dr. Eberechukwu Onwujiariri, noted that the President’s commendations were apt.
“With the leadership of the incumbent Provost, Dr. Jude Obidiegwu, the college is fast developing and headed for greater heights”.
Provost of Federal College of Agriculture Isiagu Ebonyi State Dr. Michael Okoronkwo, said the College is growing rapidly showing the vision of its current Provost.
The FCCO Provost, Dr. Jude Obidiegwu, thanked President Tinubu for the commendations and encomiums on the management and staff of the College.
He however anticipated greater cooperation and collaboration with the presidency to take the college to enviable heights.
