2026 National Teachers Summit: Anambra emerges tops in maiden edition

Anambra State has won the Southeast overall best in the 2026 National Teachers Summit award. The State also took 2nd position nationally.

The event, first of it’s kind in the country, was organized by Office of the Wife of the President in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education.

Themed, “Empowering Teachers Strengthening the System: A National Agenda for Education Transformation and Sustainability”, the competition was concluded on Tuesday at the Banquet hall, State House Abuja.

Chekwube Hope Ifentike of Government Technical College Onitsha who won the award smiled home with a cash award of N25million.

Reacting to the development, Commissioner for Education Anambra State, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh expressed joy that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to the funding of Education has continued to yield the desired dividend.

She congratulated the awardee, Ifentike for making the state proud, while charging other teachers to replicate the outstanding performance.
