More than nine million Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide will embark on a month-long campaign to share what they describe as a Bible-based solution to humanity’s age-long problem of war and violence.
As part of the campaign commencing from September 1, members of the public will be invited to a special talk titled “An End to War — How?” which will be delivered in local Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses across the world.
The campaign also includes the free distribution of the Watchtower No. 1, 2025 edition, which explores the same theme.
The global effort comes at a time when conflict and bloodshed dominate headlines – from the Russia-Ukraine war to the Israeli-Palestinian crisis and Sudan’s civil war.
Organizers say the campaign seeks to provide comfort and hope to people grappling with the harsh realities of violence.
Olusegun Eroyemi, spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Nigeria, explained: “We live in a time where violent conflicts—even large-scale wars—are surging.
We believe this magazine will bring hope not only to the millions suffering from war’s devastating effects but also to anyone searching for peace in their personal lives.”
One of the magazine’s central themes is the question: Will we ever see a time when there is no more war?
It highlights Jesus’ well-known words in the Lord’s Prayer as pointing to a lasting solution that no human government has been able to provide.
The Watchtower edition will be available both in print and as a free digital download at JW.org, where no login is required.
The site also provides details on how to locate the nearest Kingdom Hall for those interested in attending the special Bible talk.
According to the organizers, what people will hear at the talk will not only be enlightening but also life-changing.
