A suspected ritualist has allegedly murdered a pregnant nurse in Umueri Village, Ogbunike, in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The suspect, Chiemelie Oborji, (alias Obitex) was also said to have attempted to cover up his evil act by dumping the victim’s body inside a pit in a bush behind his compound.
A viral video clips shows some community youths dragging out the victim’s body from the bush after it had been recovered.
A voice note from the background condemned the act declaring the suspect wanted by the entire community.
According to reports, the suspect invited the victim for treatment and urgent medical help to his ailing mother who he claimed became very sick at midnight (around 1am).
“As soon as she arrived, she was brutally attacked and gruesomely murdered by the suspect. Her body was later found dumped inside a pit near the suspect’s compound.
“Her corpse suggested that her body was mutilated, with certain vital parts missing, hence the strong suspicions of ritual killing,” the report alleged.
As at the time of filing this report, the suspect, Chiemelie, is yet to be apprehended as he has reportedly fled the area.
The angry residents and security operatives have also intensified efforts to locate and apprehend him.

When contacted, Police Spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said he was unaware of the incident, and pledged to check out for details.
