The President General of Imo General Assembly, Chinedu Igwe, has been appointed Special Assistant on Non-indigenes Affairs to the Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Echezona Anazodo.
Unveiling the appointee, Anazodo said that the appointment which symbolizes a new era in the council area is aimed at driving development and unity.
He said the strategic move underscores the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and economic development.
“By appointing representatives from different segments of the community, we have demonstrated wisdom in fostering unity and cooperation,” he said.
Addressing journalists, the recently re-elected PG, Imo General Assembly, Igwe said his appointment is unprecedented in the political history of the LGA.
While appreciating the Chairman for the appointment, Igwe pledged to mobilize his people for the overall growth and development of the industrial town of Nnewi.
