Muslim faithful and other residents of Abia State have been assured of safety during and after the Eid el Kabir festivities.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Danladi Isa, gave the assurance in a press release issued the Command’s spokesperson, Maureen Chinaka.
Isa said officers have intensified security presence in strategic locations and are closely monitoring public gatherings and events to maintain peace and order.
However, he called for security alertness and consciousness on the part of the Muslim faithful and the general public.
The CP urged them to promptly to report suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest Police Station.
