Smart schools are Enugu children’s ticket to future – Gov. Mbah

Gov. Peter Mbah of Enugu State has described the 260 Smart Green Schools under construction across the state as a gateway to a brighter future for children. 

Speaking at the 2025 Children’s Day celebration in Enugu, represented by SSG Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Mbah said the schools were designed to foster experiential learning and innovation.

He said they were equipped with solar power, digital tools, AI labs, smart farms, and more.

Highlighting a 33% education budget allocation, the governor reaffirmed education as a top priority. 

He also announced free uniforms, meals, tablets, books, clean water, and healthcare for students, aiming to make learning inclusive and engaging.

Mbah encouraged the children to be bold, curious and kind.

His wife, Nkechinyere Mbah, praised educators and pledged continued support for safe and inclusive schooling.

The event featured a parade and prize presentations.
