The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, has dismissed reports of a rift between him and his predecessor and Minister of Works, David Umahi.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor, the governor clarified that he is not at odds with Umahi, contrary to speculations circulating in some sections of the media.

The rumors were reportedly fueled by an alleged disagreement over the selection of candidates to represent the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State.

The statement emphasized that the APC in the state remains united.

It describes the party as “one indivisible family” where all aspirants will be given a fair and equal opportunity, in line with agreements reached by party stakeholders.

The statement further assured that any outstanding issues, including those relating to consensus candidacy, would be resolved amicably.
