The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has pegged its presidential nomination form at ₦100 million as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
This is contained in the party’s newly released timetable for its 2026 primary elections, which outlines guidelines and requirements for aspiring candidates.
A statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, says the schedule underscores its commitment to internal democracy, transparency, and strict adherence to electoral guidelines.
According to the timetable, the process is already in motion, with the collection of application forms running from April 1 to May 4, 2026.
The sale of nomination forms is scheduled for May 5 to May 10, while submission of completed forms will take place between May 11 and May 13.
The party will screen its aspirants from May 14 to May 15, with results to be published on May 17.
The statement explains that appeals will be entertained from May 18 to May 19, and the final list of cleared candidates will be released on May 20.
Primary elections will commence on May 21 with contests for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate seats.
Governorship primaries are slated for May 22, while the presidential primary will hold on May 25, 2026.
The process will conclude with a National Executive Committee meeting on May 26 and a Special National Convention on May 27 for final ratifications.
N50 million for governorship
In addition to the ₦100 million presidential form, the party fixed nomination fees at ₦50 million for governorship aspirants.
Senatorial aspirants will pay ₦20 million, ₦10 million for House of Representatives, and ₦3 million for State House of Assembly positions.
To promote inclusivity, the ADC also announced a 50 percent discount for youths and a 25 percent reduction for women and persons with disabilities.
The party urged members, stakeholders, and aspirants to comply strictly with the timetable as it positions itself as a viable platform for credible leadership in 2027.
