NSCDC deploys personnel to secure JAMB centres

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra State Command has deployed personnel ahead of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

State Commandant, Olatunde Maku gave the directives while briefing the Area Commanders and Divisional Officers at the State Command Headquarters Awka.

He said the personnel would provide security for the smooth and hitch- free examination across the state.

“The personnel will respond promptly to duty calls, provide security for the critical infrastructure and prevent intrusion of unwanted persons

“They will also uphold the integrity of the examination in all the 33 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers across the state,” he added.

The NSCDC boss further directed that personnel arrive at the centers before 6:00 am each day.

Maku said they would screen candidates for prohibited items and maintaining a serene environment throughout the examination period.

He tasked them to strictly adhere to the guidelines of JAMB Examination and maintain utmost professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

The Commandant warned against unauthorised persons loitering around designated CBT exam centers.

He advised candidates against bringing prohibited items, saying the command would arrest and prosecute anyone found wanting.

The JAMB UTME is scheduled to commence on April 24 across the country.
