Anambra state governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo has described his successful first term tenure and reelection for another four years as God ordained.

He said he would not have became Governor at a better time than when he emerged, appreciating God for the privilege to serve.

Speaking during a thanksgiving service for a successful inauguration of his new administration, Soludo said the service was to hand over the second term to God.

He said, “Exactly last week, we were at the International Convention Center (ICC) to thank God for successful completion of four years in office.

“Today, the Sunday following the oath of office, we’re here to thank God for successful inauguration and to hand over the entire second tenure to Him.

“Anambra is in the hand of God, this government is one ordained by God for this moment for Ndị Anambra.

“From the gospel we heard today about Jesus and Lazarus, God is never late. His time is the right time when it pleased God that we should serve the people and we owe Him every gratitude.

“During the campaign, we prayed God to bless us beyond our imagination so we can leave the state better than we met it. That He has done because we offered ourselves willingly to serve.

“We continue to pray for life, health and wisdom and courage to do the right. Anambra will continue to rise in the next four years.

Appreciating various stakeholders for their partnership during the first term, Soludo urged increased support for greater performance in the second term.

He also thanked his cabinet members he referred to as solution team for their sacrifice, saying, “God did not make mistake in bringing us together to serve and contribute to the development of the state.

“Let me thank the Presidency, federal government, international community, private sectors, the church, particularly the Catholic, Anglican and Pentecostal churches, the clergy and laity, traditional rulers, community leaders and our productive youths.

“You’ve stood with us through thick and thin. Let’s do it together this second term to continue to make the state proud.”
