Super Eagles move up 12 places in latest FIFA rankings

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have climbed 12 places to 26th position in the latest FIFA Men’s World Rankings released on Tuesday.

The improvement follows Nigeria’s impressive performance at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, where the team finished third after a series of strong outings.

Nigeria’s rise in the global rankings reflects the team’s consistency, resilience and tactical discipline displayed throughout the tournament under the guidance of Head Coach Eric Chelle.

With the new ranking, the Super Eagles are now placed third in Africa, behind Senegal and Morocco.

The development further underlines Nigeria’s growing stature on the continental and global football scene.
