Nigerian Army conducts 2025 range classification in Dutse

Nigerian Army says its 2025 range classification exercise will hold from Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st August 2025, at Yar Gaba Barracks in Dutse, Jigawa State.

A statement signed by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 26 Armoured Brigade, Lieutenant Uzoma Egwu-Ukpai, says the exercise aims to assess the proficiency of personnel in weapon handling and marksmanship.

It urges the citizens not to panic during the period of the range classification especially on seeing troops moving and hearing of gunshot.

This advice is particularly directed at residents of Yargaba community.

The statement advises people farming and hunting around the range area to keep off while the exercise lasts.
