Newly elected executive of the UDUF Africa have been charged to approach leadership with dedication, vision and a strong sense of responsibility towards advancing the mission and goals of the organization.
The President, Pastor Uchenna Christopher who gave the advice during Pre-Induction Training held at Onitsha Business School, appreciated the exco and other members of the body for their commitment and willingness to serve.
“This training programme was organised to equip newly elected executives with the knowledge, leadership skills, strategic direction, and practical understanding required for effective service and sustainable impact within UDUF Africa.
“It’s also targeted at strengthening leadership capacity and reinforcing organisation’s commitment to developing visionary leaders capable of transforming communities across Africa,” he added.
Delivering a lecture on “Leadership Foundation and Strategic Direction”, Founder, UDUF Africa, Dr Smart Chinedu stressed on principles of effective leadership, importance of vision-driven leadership, service, accountability and creating strategic direction for organisational growth.
He also spoke on “Understanding Membership Growth and Resource Mobilisation,” during which he emphasized on practical strategies for attracting new members, member retention, fundraising approaches, and mobilising resources for sustainable organisational development.
Putting knowledge into practice
Ezuma encouraged the newly elected executives to put all they had learned into practical action.
He said, “leadership knowledge becomes truly valuable only when it is translated into action.”
According to him, learning without implementation amounts to a waste of executive time and organisational resources.
He challenged the participants to demonstrate commitment by applying the knowledge, skills, and lessons gained from the training towards effective leadership, meaningful service and creating lasting positive impact within UDUF Africa and the communities they serve.

Comr. Obiozo Augustus, on his part, dwelt on “Strategic Planning and Goal Setting”, charging participants to set clear objectives, develop action plans and align personal and organisational goals with the vision and mission of UDUF Africa.
Speaking on, “Team Building and Effective Collaboration,” Amb. Henry Ezeudo emphasised teamwork, communication, trust building and the importance of collaboration in achieving organisational goals.
The training recorded active participation from attendees through discussions, questions, interactions, and idea sharing.
Participants demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment throughout the programme, making the training highly engaging and impactful.
