House of Representatives aspirant, Chinedu Anyaso, has sought the blessing of a renowned industrialist, Cletus Ibeto, as part of high-level strategic consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

A frontline businessman and Grand Patron of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), J. J. Ezeokafor, presented Anyaso to Ibeto.

Ezeokafor, the Managing Director of Jezco Group, led the delegation to Ibeto’s country home in Nnewi, where they formally notified him of Anyaso’s intention to contest for the Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency seat.

On the occasion, Ezeokafor described Anyaso as a credible and capable candidate with the vision and competence to effectively represent the constituency at the National Assembly.

He stressed that engaging key stakeholders and respected figures remains a crucial part of the political process.

According to him, such consultations not only demonstrate respect for established leaders but also help in building consensus and strengthening democratic participation at the grassroots level.

In his remarks, Anyaso expressed humility in approaching Ibeto, whom he described as a father figure and a pillar of industrial growth and community development in Nnewi and beyond.

He said his aspiration is driven by a desire to deliver quality representation and bring meaningful development to the people.

The aspirant pledged to focus on people-oriented legislation and to attract impactful projects that would improve infrastructure, economic opportunities, and social welfare across the constituency if elected.

Admonition to remain focused

Responding, Ibeto commended the spirit of consultation exhibited by the aspirant and his team, urging Anyaso to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to serving the people.

He emphasized the need for leaders who prioritize the welfare and progress of their constituents, while assuring the delegation of his goodwill.

The visit forms part of ongoing strategic consultations by Anyaso as he intensifies his bid to represent Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, positioning himself ahead of the 2027 electoral contest.
