Nafiu Bala fires back at Kwankwaso: says “I can’t be bullied”

Nafiu-Kwankwaso

Nafiu Bala has hit back strongly at Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, rejecting claims about his age and accusing the former Kano governor of meddling in party matters he has no authority over.

In a fiery response, Bala clarified that he is 46 years old—not 35 as allegedly suggested by Kwankwaso and challenged him to verify facts before making public statements.

“Even if I were younger, Kwankwaso has no right to look down on me,” Bala said, noting that many of today’s political leaders, including Kwankwaso himself, assumed significant positions at a young age.

He urged Kwankwaso and other older politicians to create space for younger leaders, emphasizing that the next generation should be allowed to take charge while elders serve in advisory capacities.

“They should allow youths to steer the affairs of our parties and the country while they play advisory roles,” he stated.

Bala also launched a direct attack, describing Kwankwaso as an “APC mole” and questioning his credibility in the affairs of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He recalled that during the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar and other northern stakeholders had urged Kwankwaso to step down for regional unity, but he declined—an action Bala says undermines his moral standing to offer advice now.

“Having refused to step down then, he has no moral justification to bully or advise me on the injustice being done to me by impostors in the ADC,” Bala said.

He further warned Kwankwaso to follow due process if he intends to be part of the party and insisted he does not recognize him as a member of the ADC.

“I cannot be bullied by anyone,” Bala declared.
