Former Catholic Knight, Sir James Louis has reportedly taken a surprising turn—becoming a Senior Bishop in the traditionalist movement, Omenala Bu Eziokwi Na Ndu.

James, widely known as Ebube Anaedo, made headlines in January when he publicly walked out of the Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral in Nnewi during its dedication.

Footage of him leaving the cathedral in visible anger went viral, shocking the entire congratulations who attended the ceremony.

The ex-Knight blamed his dramatic exit on deliberate lack of recognition of the late businessman and Senator Ifeanyi Ubah during the cathedral’s inauguration.

He reportedly felt that Ubah, a major financier of the project, was sidelined in favour of other honorees.

That fateful day, he pulled his shoes, tore off his knightly regalia and declared a permanent break from institutional religion. From then on, he earned the nickname “Akachaam.”

Now, videos circulating on social media show Sir James undergoing traditional initiation rites, officiated by prominent traditionalist Mathias Ezeaku, marking his elevation to Senior Bishop in the Omenala Bu Eziokwi Na Ndu movement, which champions indigenous spiritual practice.

In the ceremony, he reflected on his Catholic past—highlighting his time in the Block Rosary, choir activities, and knighthood—but declared he has fully embraced traditional religion, leaving his old life behind.

Akachaam’s dramatic religious shift has sparked debate across social media, with supporters praising his bold move and critics questioning his sudden transformation.
