The Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has called on Christians to embrace the message of love, peace and divine authority as they mark Palm Sunday.
Soludo made the call in a message on Sunday to commemorate the solemnity, which ushers in the Holy Week in the Christian calendar.
She described Palm Sunday as a significant moment that reaffirms the universal kingship of Jesus Christ and God’s eternal supremacy.
“Today, we celebrate the feast of Palm Sunday, ushering us fully into the Holy Week. Christ’s universal kingship is re-established across the world, a solemn message of divine authority and God’s eternal supremacy,” she said.
Soludo urged the faithful to reflect on the spiritual significance of the season, noting that it symbolises a journey of faith, love and triumph.
“Like the days of old, we walk with Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, proclaiming the language of love, peace and triumph. God is King, Hosanna in the highest,” she added.
She encouraged Christians to use the Holy Week to deepen their relationship with God and promote peaceful coexistence in society.
