NYSC, NOA partner for stronger moral re-orientation drive in Anambra

The Anambra State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs. Pauline Ojisua, has called for intensified efforts to promote moral rectitude among Nigerian youths, emphasizing the need for strategic sensitisation to curb societal vices.

Ojisua made the call while receiving the State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Barr. Mrs. Ifeoma Chijioke, during a courtesy visit to the NYSC State Secretariat.

She stressed that while challenges such as drug abuse remain critical, more attention should be given to instilling sound values and correcting negative behaviours among young people through deliberate orientation programmes.

“NYSC provides a veritable platform to shape the mindset of youths, particularly members of Generation Z, in order to secure a more responsible and value-driven Generation Alpha.

Through proper sensitisation, we can correct many of the ills prevalent among our youths. If we get it right with Gen Z, we will certainly get it right with Generation Alpha,” Ojisua said.

The State Coordinator commended NOA for its longstanding partnership with NYSC, describing the agency as a dependable collaborator that has consistently contributed to the success of its programmes in Anambra.

Earlier, the NOA State Director said the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two agencies.

She described NYSC as a core partner and reiterated NOA’s commitment to fostering value reorientation and national development through joint initiatives.

The visit featured an exchange of souvenirs as a symbol of goodwill.

The NOA Director presented a National Identity Booklet to the NYSC State Coordinator, while. Ojisua presented the AnambraKopa magazine to the NOA Director.

The engagement highlights the shared resolve of both organisations to deepen collaboration in promoting youth development and nation-building in the state.
