I’ll take WAI Brigade to enviable height in Anambra – NOA boss

Anambra State Acting Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Barr Lady Ifeoma Chijioke has expressed her desires and dreams to move War Against Indiscipline (WAI) Brigade to an enviable height in the State.

Chijioke stated this while hosting officers and men of the Brigade in the State in her office at Engr. Ebele Ofunneamaka Okeke, Federal Secretariat Complex, Awka.

She pledged her support to the activities of the organization in the State, pledging to make effective use of the Brigade, especially in the areas of information sharing and security.

According to her, the Brigade needed to be combatant in nature, revealing her intention to organize in-house training for the organization.

The NOA boss solicited for the organization’s support to her leadership in the State to enable her perform optimally.

“The essence of the proposed in-house training is for them to improve in their services to the nation, humanity and Nigeria at large, especially at the grassroots.

“They need to be combatant in nature as gallant soldiers of the Agency,” she said.

Solid solidarity

Chijioke called for solid and water tight solidarity as well as staunch commitment among the officers and men of the WAI Brigade in the State.

Earlier, Commander of the Brigade in the State, Comrade Francis Nwoye, said they were in the NOA chief office to identify with her as the first female Acting Director in the State.

State Co-ordinator of the WAI Brigade in the State, Mr. Tagbo Igboka charged his officers and men to imbibe spirit of discipline, dedication and all round service to humanity.

Deputy Director, Civic, Ethics, Values, and Democracy Education, Mr. Remigius Obi described the brigade as very important instrument in the maintenance of peace and serenity in the country, especially at national ceremonies in the country.

He promised that the current leadership of NOA in the State will not hesitate in co-opting the Bridge in the major activities of the Agency in Anambra State and elsewhere in the country.

In a vote of thanks, Deputy Director Media and Communications, Comrade Cyril Ezezue thanked the leadership of the Brigade for the visit, praying for fast elevation of the brigade to next level in the country.

Present at the event were Deputy Director, Community Outreach, and Development, Comrade Ndubuisi Ilodigwe, Mrs Ifeoma Umeh, Deputy Director, Community Safety Awareness, and Compliance, and Deputy Director, Special Duties and Local Government Operations, Mrs Nkechi Ezeyili, among others.
