UN-PEPOLAC to build Peace and Leadership Centre to complement Soludo’s strides

UN-Peace and Positive Living Awareness Centre (UN-PEPOLAC) has felicitated with Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state on the inauguration of his administration for a second term in office.

International President of the group, Bishop Dr. Festus Ozoemena in a statement praised Soludo for not letting people of the state down in his first four years in governance.

According to him, every reasonable Anambra person would appreciate the excellent job done by the Solution Governor in the past four years, including transforming the State into a “construction site” with road infrastructure connecting the state into a smart mega city.

He assured that his organization would be complementing his efforts with the building of Peace and Leadership Centre Multi-purpose project in Awka, the capital city of the state.

Ozoemena also announced that the group was training Peace Officers to support good governance across the local government areas for peaceful coexistence in communities in the state.

Hub of peace

“The project will be a hub for peace building, peace education and tourism, conflict management via Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms, which foundation would soon be laid.

“We are equally training Peace Officers to support good governance across the local government areas for peaceful coexistence in Anambra communities, in line with Anambra State Peace Building and Conflict Management Bill, 2024.

“We also intend to float project for healing and recovery of the local governments and communities affected by the recent security challenges in the state, in partnership with relevant government agencies and parastatals and be able to attract international attention and support,” he announced.

While reeling out the governor’s numerous feats within his first four years, the cleric reminded him that the reward for good work is more work.

“Our Governor has done well especially in the areas of education, employment of thousands of teachers for both public and mission schools, health sector, youths empowerment with skills, achievement in peace and security is unprecedented.

“He has also excelled in the area of transformation of urban areas like, Ekwulobia, Okpoko, Awka capital with fun city recreational centre, Onitsha clean up initiative, Nnewi road constructions, the rebirth initiative to uphold the Igbo morals and values,etc.

“These achievements are so visible that even the blind could feel it. I congratulate “Dike Udo Isuofia”, “Odenigbo Orumba Na Aguata”, “Olu Atu Egwu Anambra”.

Changing gear

“It’s said that the reward for good work is more work, Anambra people by their massive votes have employed you again for another four years.

“I believe you would change gear to achieving the livable, prosperous homeland that would make Anambra a desired destination and not a departure lounge.

“I believe your faith and trust in God with good team in Administration would make it happen for posterity,” he added.

The group wishes the Governor and his deputy, God’s blessings and good health to actualize his dreams for Ndi- Anambra in the years to come, urging Anambra people to give him the needed support.
