The Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy has partnered with the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce, USA (NICOCUSA) to host the inaugural Afrocentric Global Expo in Abuja, Nigeria, in the fourth quarter of 2026.

A statement by South East Bureau Chief, Lead watch Magazine, Patrick Akobo said the 7-10 day summit aims to maximize Africa’s creative potential, showcasing the continent’s vibrant culture, music, fashion, dance, and makeup.

“The event is structured as a multi-day cultural world expo, integrating global broadcast programming, investment forums, heritage recognition, and fashion acceleration platforms, among others.

“The expo is a strategic platform to strengthen Nigeria’s cultural infrastructure, empower its youth, and reinforce the country’s position as the heartbeat of African creativity.

“With a global demand for African music, film, fashion, and digital content, policymakers see the creative economy as a key driver of non-oil revenue, diaspora capital flow, and cross-border trade.

“The event promises to be a mind-blowing experience that will put Africa at the center stage of the global creative economy,” the statement reads.
